Looking Ahead...a 10 Year Recreational Masterplan.

From my experience serving on the Milton Softball Board as well as my Wife's tenure with Milton Soccer, we've come to realize that there is a real need for a Recreational Master Plan which analyzes Milton's current parks and facilities to research where we can invest in efficiencies and look for potential growth. While this a big under taking, I also believe it's a necessary step as Milton continues to invest Community Preservation Funding into our Parks and Open Space and our programs continue to expand. We want to make sure that our investments are well thought out and considers a larger shared vision amongst many stakeholders: youth sports, schools, neighborhood groups, etc. I believe collaboration is paramount in this planning and hope to engage all Milton residents and neighborhoods throughout Town. While I have started to contact many and build support around this vision, I have also started to research and connect with Community Organizers who are specialized in Recreational Planning. The first Community Preservation eligibility deadline is May 31st. I look forward to spearheading this next application and continuing to build collaboration and support from our community.
